Here at Nillumbik Living & Learning, we are seeking a skilled and organised Clay Studio Technician to support the daily operations of our ceramics program. The role includes kiln loading and firing, glaze and materials preparation, equipment maintenance, studio setup and cleanliness, and providing practical support to tutors and participants. What a typical day will look like;
- Be a welcoming point of contact for people accessing Living & Learning Nillumbik's clay studio
- Providing advice on clay studio operations
- Organisation of the clay studio to ensure it is suitable for participant use
- Establish working relationships that support a collaborative working environment
What you will bring to the role;
- Strong attention to detail
- Sound technical knowledge of ceramic processes and kiln operation
- Previous experience and knowledge of best practice in management and operations of clay studios
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming studio environment
